Proof that cats do miss us when we’re gone

We really should stop the incorrect and malicious stereotype that cats are aloof, unfeeling and unloving, but only use humans as a source of food and shelter.

Our Cats are ABSOLUTELY as attached to their pet humans as Dogs are. When my Dog escaped several years ago,ALL my Cats (7 at that time) went with me to walk the neighborhood to look for her. I was amazed to see them all scattered across the street checking around the yards and houses. My Dog finally appeared and ran up to me,and my Cats closed ranks and we all walked back home, with none missing, everyone happy.

This article made me miss my cat Baby. I had to have her put down back in July. It is good to know that cats do love and miss us as much a dogs do. I had not been aware that cats were as bonded with their humans as cats are. I can hardly wait to be reunited with all of my fur babies. Excellent article!

My current cat and I scoured the neighborhood looking for her kitten before I rescued her from a bad winter. While she was nearly feral, she returned a few weeks later having remembered my trying to help her search for her kitten. She never left my side since moving in. When I went on vacation once she did not eat for a week. Waited by door till I returned. My cat sitter reported this. Cat love and intelligence runs deep.
