That’s hilarious!
Not only is Susan a smart cat, it’s fascinating that animals engage in deception, albeit in this case totally harmless deception, unlike the malicious deception that human beings undertake.
That’s a good one! A friend’s Dog used to do that-I asked my friend what happened to the Dog but he didn’t know. I followed it at a distance,and watched it limp around the corner of the house to the back yard,and when I got to the corner and peeked around,the Dog was running and frolicking with the neighbor’s puppy,totally using all four paws.
There is no doubt but what cats are very intelligent, and willful.
Thank you DCG for this very cute post. How smart of Susan that she as figured out how to manipulate her owners! Amazing!

Years ago our cat Irving was looking for attention by favoring one paw. A little later he tried the same thing with the other paw. It was very cute and funny.
