Love the firearms one……and already, I’ve seen T-shirts with that logo about….”When the virus is gone….I still want y’all to stay away from me.” As a public school teacher in my third day back to “regular” school (with masks and copious hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes), I need that Tee….at least to wear at home & if I’m out and about at the grocer’s: we’ve already had 2 students test positive for Covid and I’ve had 2 “scares” already in my room that ended up being cleared by testing.

Side note, I’ve also already had my 2nd “transgender student,” both girls who “identify” as boys (it is NEVER the other way around in my experience with this at my school) and are requesting to be called “he/him” and by a masculine name—and we were warned today from the admin./counseling that PARENTS DON’T KNOW and are NOT to be informed or accidently told by any of us. Student is age 12 and has more rights than the parents in this matter. I am between a rock and a hard place b/c I KNOW damned well that this is wrong for medical and mental well-being of an under-aged child info to be kept away from parents. But in my state, it’s the law. I feel like a low-down conspirator….esp when a parent is frantic about their child and trying to find out “what’s wrong?” And, I know “what’s wrong,” and I can’t even HINT to the parent about the child’s “transgender wishes.” I can’t say, “Well, your child is failing everything, which is making you frantic and at sea as to the reason, b/c they claim to be transgender and they are conflicted, depressed, and feeling alone….. and I am supposed to call Rosie, “Hank” according to her/his wishes, but I’m not allowed to tell you this by law. So, if you think that tutoring or family counseling or whatever you might think up as a way to help you, NOT! The public school system has the answer to your recent panic/problems, but will not give you the information so that you can discuss and address it as a family.

Clearly, I’ve lived too long.
