Alec Baldwin, that insufferable “woke” leftist who is pro-gun control, is wholly responsible for the shooting death on the “Rust” movie set.
Not only did he not check the gun to see if it’s loaded before he shot, as gun safety rules advise, as the executive producer, he is responsible for the set’s safety, which was so bad that just the day before, union members working on the movie set quit because of their concerns. The latest news is that the gun he used is not a “prop gun” but a real gun loaded with live ammunition. Workers on the set were using that gun (and other real guns) for fun — shooting at targets (tin cans), using live ammunition.
I did not know the full extent of his culpability…. thanks for letting us know the full scoop on this. It is just ridiculous. Why would ANY filming crew have guns onset that they were using for target practice? This is such sloppy safety–it is just plain unbelievable.

I was listening to a radio conversation about this unintentional shooting. There is some thought that he be held accountable to some degree since he was a “Producer” of the movie and should have been knowledgeable regarding who hands off a prop gun to the actor. Evidently, appropriate rules were not followed . . . this is a real tragedy no matter how you look at it.
It may have been unintentional yet it was intentional to violate these basic firearm rules: Treat all guns as if they are always loaded and never let the muzzle cover anything that you are not willing to destroy (and other firearm safety protocols, too). It’s very, very bad.
This will be a real test of our justice system, if there are 2 levels of justice – “rules for thee, and rules for me”

Just think of it this way. “If I was the one who pulled that trigger, with all identical circumstances,WITHOUT following ANY of the common sense (God,I HATE that phrase, but…) gun safety rules we ALL learn, would I be able to successfully claim it was “just an accident”?

Hannah Gutierrez is the armorer for the movie and admittedly inexperienced with few movies under her belt. David Halls is the Asst. Director. From an article I read, both may be charged in this horrible accident.
