Here in Oklahoma our weather forecast is calling for icy weather and snow this week, starting tomorrow. If you’ve ever lived down south, you know this is a major disturbance in southerners’ lives.
I grew up in the Seattle area so am quite use to a lot of rain and a little bit of snow. Must admit, up in Seattle there are many snow wussies, too. But down south, there are many who just refuse to get out in the snow. But that is for a good reason: Most cannot drive in the snow at all.
So grocery stores were busy today. Everyone stocking up before armageddon!
These funnies sum up perfectly what it is going to be like this week:

Funny . . . and true!
As one who is scheduled to go to the grocery store in order to pickup necessary supplies before the snow starts tomorrow morning here in Portland–I can certainly understand the mindset displayed in the painting “Snow in the Deep South.”
So funny DCG and so true lived in West Tn all my life and it never changes. My wife works at a major Food chain and the second they say snow on the weather she just shakes her head at all the stupid rush to get eggs’ Milk’ and Bread’ but seems beer has been added to the group now, and I’ll bet chips will be next.
LOL nice post..
Three and a half years into our sojourn in Florida, and I identify with all of these!
lol-so funny! I’m in the middle of snow storm right now. Been snowing all night & day. Even tho I can drive in it I still don’t want to go outside
