Career criminal shot & killed after hospital standoff in failed Portland, Oregon

5/5 - (6 votes)

Liberal cities and states are disintegrating before our very eyes. Portland, Oregon is an example of the consequences of elections.

In May 2020, Portland city commissioners voted to cut nearly $16 million from the police budget in response to complaints about police force and racial injustice. As a result: Portland had a 300% increase in murders from July 2020 to February 2021. In the first two months of 2021, 17 people were  murdered — a 1,600% increase from the one murder reported during the same time period in 2020.

In 2022, Portland’s homicide number was higher than the city’s 20-year average.

It doesn’t help these demorat-run cities are electing Soros-backed prosecutors who refuse to properly punish the criminals.

Case in point: A career-criminal, PoniaX Kane Calles, shot and killed a security guard at Legacy Good Samaritan Medical Center in Portland on Saturday. He was subsequently shot and killed by police in the neighboring city of Gresham. Calles had made threats to staff at the hospital in the days leading up to the shooting.

Calles (formerly Reginald Kane Jackson) had a lenghtly criminal record (which began in demorat-run California) that included:

  • Attempted second-degree assault (for stabbing a man in the face with a knife; he was placed on probation for three years)
  • Reckless driving
  • Driving with a suspended license
  •  Third-degree criminal mischief (prosecutors dropped the charge)
  • Attempted murder
  • Robbery
  • Battery
  • Disorderly conduct
  • Vandalism

Calles also had mental health issues (obviously).

Read the whole sordid story of this criminal’s background here at The Oregonian.

No amount of new gun laws would have stopped this guy. He was also ordered to undergo drug treatment and have a mental health evaluation. Obviously that didn’t happen or change his behaviors.

The only solution is to punish the criminals. Or try electing bureaucrats and politicians who care about punishing criminals and preserving law and order in their cities. Yet I’m not going to hold my breath that liberals will learn to do that in the near future. They never learn:

One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors.

Seems history keeps repeating itself and no one pays attention to it at all, so we keep suffering because of others stupidity.

And that is why Portland is the 6th fastest-shrinking big city in America since 2020, which of course means less tax revenue for the city. https://www.oregonlive.com/portland/2023/05/portland-6th-fastest-shrinking-big-city-in-america-since-2020-census-estimates-show.html

I totally agree that, “Elections have consequences.” I have always believed that ever since I was first eligible to vote at age 18 when I voted for Ronald Reagan for his first term in office. But even more detrimental to the country and our republic, (we are not a, “democracy,”) than even that is this: Stolen elections have even bigger consequences! Need any more proof of that than what we are witnessing all around us every day? If you doubt that, just ask people like Kari Lake and Donald Trump and others such as Laura Loomer.

As a resident of Portland, I can only affirm–I am very glad that some of our police officers “took out the trash!”

Why in Heaven’s name was that poor officer that was shot and killed unarmed? All the while other hospital’s in Portland have security officers that are carrying.

Emmanuel Hospital is and has been known as a cesspool for many years. Two years ago in June, I fell and severely broke my left wrist while I was outside. When the ambulance came, I flat out told them–take me to Providence, or Good Samaritan Hospitals, BUT do not take me to Emmanuel (the sight of this incident.)

Some years back, I had my eldest nephew living with me, he was injured in an on the job accident. He was taken to Emmanuel–treated and given pain medication. He kept his bottle of pain pills on a shelf in the kitchen. A couple of days later, he asked me, “Aunt ____, did you take any of my pain pills? I have only taken two of them, and it appears that half of what was prescribed is missing from the bottle.”

This incident prompted me to contact someone higher up in the chain of authority at Emmanuel. I explained the fact that Andy had been given the bottle of pain medication when he left their ER, but half the pill had been pilfered before he was given the bottle. I told the administrator, I realize that you probably think I am asking for replacement drugs, but that is not why I am here. You need to be aware that somewhere in the chain of custody between your Pharmacy and your ER, someone is stealing patient’s medication.

I have no idea what happened. This administrator treated me like a child, where you just pat them on the head and send them on their way. I doubt that they even looked into this thievery. For these reasons, and the fact that Emmanuel is well known for being a “dangerous” place to visit–I just will not go there.

I am profoundly saddened by the fact that some innocent man who was just attempting to earn a living has lost his life because of the ineptness of Portland’s Attorney General’s Office and their unwillingness to prosecute evil people who commit crime after crime after crime–with no repercussions; and the stupidity of Emmanuel’s administrator’s for not having armed security officers. This murder was predictable, to all those who are actually looking at the events leading up to that fateful day.

I can only hope that the security guard’s family brings suit over the ineptness of all involved in this predictable sh*t-show!

May God Bless this officer and his grieving family.

We have “cast our pearls before swine,” but isn’t that the Soros and Demorat path to unending power (in their estimation)?
