So Sweet!! We have a mixed “Turkish Van,” Seamus, who (water loving) waits by the 2 back sliding doors just in case we go out (empty garbage, water plants, go swimming….go to the car…..) so he can bolt…to the garden or the pool. He’s maybe 15 yrs old now, as is a brother (O’Reilly). We lost his other brother, a loveable clown named “Duffy” a few years ago. Obviously, they all were of a wild litter we kept and had so much orange or red in their coloring that we went to the Scot/Irish names. But, they lived up to it. Seamus still waits for his “break” by the door, and O’Reilly has become the older “statesman” or “caretaker” of some of our younger cats. Duffy was our love…often we thought about making a calendar of him of ‘Daily Duff.” He’d do such great things….like try to get into my school satchel to go to school with me…or a basket too small for him…or sit in a wing-chair like a person…w/arms rested, sitting upright, & so on…or, if he wanted attention, lay on his back so cutely, in front of the refrigerator, where he was sure to “score” some sort of human attention at some point when someone came to open the refrigerator. 🙂 Smart cat. we miss him every day 🙂
Smart kitty and his loving human.
