Thank you for your prayers

Samaritan’s Purse and Appalachian State University are in my small town of Boone, NC. They and other relief organizations are providing food supplies, water, meals, shelters, showers, etc. Our power was turned back on after 10.5 days. All of the western NC counties have horrible infrastructure damage and will take possibly years to get fixed in the most rural areas. I live 3 miles from main street on a mountain above Boone. The two laned paved road going down the mountain to town had a big chunk of pavement and soil break off from the center line on the drop off side of road. Two trees fell across the road. We can use the road, but it’s very scary and one doesn’t go up or down it in the dark. Compared to what others have gone through and are still experiencing, it is way worse than what I am dealing with. FEMA was slow in reacting to this event. Please continue to pray for those who have lost their homes, family and friends, and have no way to get supplies without helicopters or pack animals to bring it to them.
