Kita, my Dog, has a natural smile. She’s the Neighborhood Diplomat, always wants to greet new families when they move in, goes around making friends wherever she goes. SUCH a Sweetheart!!

Soooo funny! Of course I have a story about this: we had a (rescue) GSP/Lab mix (smartest dog ever–snap this mix up if you ever come across one) who didn’t smile, but “grimaced” at us. Every AM (he ran our household by a clock all day!) he’d rally me to the back-door to go out. But, I knew there might be stray cats crossing our 3/4 acre and he LOVED to chase them (he was FINE with our house cats). So, every AM with the door only cracked, with a promise to let him go out, I gave him the same command of , “NO CATS!” And every morning he would turn his head and give me the “grimace.” It meant, I think, “I don’t like a word you said and it pains me, but I will obey.”
