This is such a sweet story.
A couple in Slovenia, Ales and Janja, rescued a baby sparrow.
They fed the sparrow wet cat food mixed with banana, and named her Chibi.
After Chibi grew strong enough to fly on her own, the couple released her in a garden. But Chibi knew better — she flew back to the couple.
Now, Ales and Janja take the sparrow to the beach, with Chibi perched on their shoulder.

“She’s not an early bird”, lol. She doesn’t have to be!
So cute!
Just seeing that gave me extreme joy. How wonderful that this couple would invest the time and effort into nursing this little sparrow. God Bless them.
Thank you Dr.E! Darling! This sweet little bird knows holiness!
I’m soooooo jealous!
I feed up to 5 dozen sparrows a day, and they’ll gather round when I come home from work, waiting to be fed, but none of them will fly out to me & land on my shoulder!
Too amazing!!! This couple was uber-dedicated to the welfare and life of this little bird and were repaid in kind from Chibi. Overall birds intrigue me. Every A.M. as I ready for work, the crow colony in my neighbor’s giant pine start calling out as soon as they see my bathroom light switch on….and if I go outside onto the back porch later, where they can see me in person, they swoop and call. I don’t really know if they are reacting to me as a “standard” in their daily environment, or if they see me as an “invader.” Whatever, they are some smart birds.
