Old-Fashioned Tip to Scent Your House Like Christmas

5/5 - (3 votes)

I use to buy Scentsy products yet quit doing that earlier this year when the prices of everything kept going up (Build Back Better!) and decided I needed to slow down my spending.

I’m going to give this a try and see what smells I can create!

I do this at Christmas time, and my kids call it making “Christmas smell.” I put cinnamon sticks with frozen cranberries and slices of orange in the water and put it on the stove- smells amazing! I’m going to try to add some pine to it now- thanks!

Don’t know why this was posted here, but anyway, I agree. This looks like my house and in this crazy world of late, isn’t it a blessing to come home to this kind of couch potato? Doesn’t it keep your feet on the ground, your heart warm, and your priorities in proper order?

I once researched how to weave a pine needle basket (Native American origin) & found I had to boil the shed, brown needles, then oven-bake them on low. This got rid of excess oils/dirt/bugs, & resulted in a most beautiful mahogany color before making them into a receptacle. The big bonus was, my house smelled heavenly of an outdoor forest for MONTHS.
