OK…this is weird but entertaining. I go to work pretty early in the AM along major surface street arteries from one side of my town to another. Every morning, I see the same lady in her bathrobe feeding a groundhog a little bit away fr (assumably) her apartment complex, in an empty field beside it. 🙂 It sits up and takes “treats” fr her hand. Lucky Lady/Lucky Groundhog. 🙂
I used to have a groundhog family living under my house in the crawlspace. I fed them leftovers for years.
Had the same problem with Deer’s jumping my fence and eating all my peas and beans. My wife brought home an old store display of a knight in his armor 6 ft tall and 3 ft wide it looked real. So I stood it up right were the deer jump over and now no deer they have moved on but now the rabbits have moved in.
Catch them alive cages all over my garden now. We raise rabbits and are putting these in different cages man they make baby rabbits faster than a cat can well you know………But can be good source of food when things go south……
All I can say is “WOW.” So, a stand-up Medieval Knight works!!! I need to tell my bro-in-law in VA who has invasive deer on his property, so he thinks he can’t put in a garden. Rabbits….I agree….I love to see them, lovely creatures to look at, esp the babies….but understand their reproductive cycles and that, in end times…even maybe just bad times, I’ll need them for survival. So much easier/more efficient than hunting for bigger game. I also don’t want to eat my egg-bearing chickens. Not a good return on protein-production.
