I grew up with a Marine Corps Sergent Major from Paris Island he ran the rifle range there. He taught me more about being in the right other than the church.
Of course he was my Father but let me tell you once a Marine always a Marine. This is what, I would expect from a Marine, they do not hesitate in any situation.
He told me that when in the field and they hear gun shots, they run to them not away and deal with what is happening. I’m sorry I could write a essay on this but I will stop now.
Will say this he was spit on at the end of the Vietnam war at which time, I think it was our politicians who needed the spitting on my self.
Thank you DCG for this our country needs to see these things now more than ever.
Brian — As one who had contemporaries serve in VietNam, I can only agree . . . it certainly was our government officials who needed spit at at the end of that “war,” certainly not the valiant young men serving under the flag of our country.
Thanks be to the men, like your father, who served our nation well.
Zhongor gives me hope for the future of America.
I certainly agree with that sentiment. This young man is so clean cut, and selfless in his actions that fateful day.
God Bless this selfless young man. We need many more young people just like him. I hope that life blesses him richly for his unselfish attitude. It is flabbergasting that everyone else just stood around, filming, or dithering over what to do, what to do!
