Oberlin College student ‘angry’ and ‘scared’ after ‘cisgender men’ installed radiator in dorms: ‘Safe space’

Tinkerbell hides from Cisgenderman. “I’m fwaaaaaayed!”

You just can’t make this stuff up.

Fox News writer Emma Colton reported Tuesday (Oct. 19) that a student at Oberlin College in Ohio had described being “scared” and “angry” after the school announced a work crew would be installing radiators in a “safe space” dormitory for women and transgendered students, explaining the crew would likely be “cisgender men.”

Cisgender men?”

I had never encountered this word, most likely because it was not added to Webster’s lexicon until 2015. I looked it up. Turns out that a “cisgender man” is one who is born male and retains his male identity throughout his life. This of course, identifies practically every man on the planet.

Colton’s narrative continues:

“I was angry, scared, and confused. Why didn’t the College complete the installation over the summer, when the building was empty? Why couldn’t they tell us precisely when the workers would be there? Why were they only notifying us the day before the installation was due to begin?” Oberlin student Peter Fray-Witzer wrote in an op-ed published in the college newspaper on Friday.

The student said he grew concerned because he had not heard of the installation plans before a school email was sent on Oct. 7. He explained that the crew would likely be cisgender men entering Baldwin Cottage, which is home to a “safe space” for “women and transgendered persons.”

“In general, I am very averse to people entering my personal space. This anxiety was compounded by the fact that the crew would be strangers, and they were more than likely to be cisgender men.”

The work crew eventually showed up at the dorm, and Fray-Witzer described that he saw “immediately that they were all men. “”It was clear that the College had not made a special request that male workers not be allowed onto the upper floors of Baldwin,” the student continued.

Fray-Witzer asked a representative of the college – who he called “Polo Man” because he was wearing a “neat polo” – who accompanied the crew if he could reject getting the radiator installed. The college emissary apparently said no, and the student left for class to allow the work crew to make the dorm improvements.

“By the time I had come back, they appeared to be done, though Polo Man warned me that they would return later in the week to check the insulation. Sure enough, they were back the next day. I felt mildly violated and a little peeved.”
Fray-Witzer said he asked how other students in the dorm felt about the work crew, with many complaining about messes, noise, and other typical complaints that accompany construction projects. Others noted that they didn’t feel comfortable with how the school handled the installation.

“I understand, of course, that installations like this are routine; the College needs to improve its facilities occasionally, and who am I to stand in the way of that? After all, I get a brand-spanking-new radiator, right in time for the cold weather. But why not finish the project during the four months of the summer semester, when the building was unoccupied?”

Oberlin’s press office did not immediately respond to Fox News’s request for comment on the matter.

New Superman, Aquaman and Batman’s sidekick are all homosexuals

How I loathe the world as remade by the “woke” Left.

Ewan Somerville reports for the (UK) Telegraph, Oct. 11, 2021:

A director once described Superman as the “most heterosexual character”. But the writers at DC Comics clearly disagree after giving the great American superhero a male love interest in an official sequel….

In the new Superman: Son of Kal-El series of comics, Jonathan Kent, the son of Lois Lane and Clark Kent who has disappeared off into deep space, assumes the protagonist role and begins a romantic relationship with a male friend.

Superman’s coming-out, announced on Monday by DC Comics, will appear in the new issue of the sequel released on November 9, as Jon Kent progresses from Superboy to Superman and assumes his father’s powers….

Since the Superman: Son of Kal-El series made its debut in July, Jon Kent has been deployed to battle several contemporary issues including wildfires sparked by climate change.

A trailer for the upcoming comic says that “just like his father before him, Jon Kent has fallen for a reporter”. The plot charts his friendship with Jay Nakamura, a budding journalist, blossoming into a same-sex relationship….

Artwork for the comic by John Timms shows the pair embracing in a passionate kiss, with Superman donning his iconic blue and red uniform.

The diversification of the iconic superhero comes amid a broader shift in the comic world towards 21st century social and cultural challenges.

In August, DC Comics also revealed that Batman sidekick Tim Drake, one of several Robins, would get a boyfriend, while a new Aquaman comic stars a gay Black man who is set to become the hero….

In 2018, a TV adaption for CW, a US channel, saw Batwoman become the first live-action superhero series with an openly gay lead character.

America towards a civil war

This is an unusual editorial from Spirit Daily, a religious (Catholic) website, so it should be heeded.

From “Prepping For Civil War?,” Spirit Daily, October 5, 2021:

We have warned about it for years, but now the signs — the tocsins — grow louder.

The United States is cleft, split at the seems, with hardcore “liberal” factions hardening (and aggressive, for they are currently in power) and hardcore “conservative” factions hardening, vowing as never before to resist the progressive agenda.

If you don’t think there can be an armed rebellion, consider the transpiring of January 6 and the fact that there are nearly four hundred million guns in the U.S. in private hands.

Consider also the proclivity for riots and looting, as occurred after George Floyd.

Religious freedom. Gun rights. Racism. Big Tech. Income inequality. Homosexual “rights.”

Once more, however, there is a central, sharply defined, and seemingly irreconcilable issue.

Just as slavery was the cleave during the First Civil War, abortion is the cutting edge, the Mason-Dickson line, of a second one.

A recent poll conducted by the Center for Politics found that “significant numbers of both Trump and Biden voters show a willingness to consider violating democratic tendencies and norms if needed to serve their priorities. Roughly two in ten Trump and Biden voters strongly agree it would be better if a ‘President could take needed actions without being constrained by Congress or courts,’ and roughly four in ten (41%) of Biden and half (52%) of Trump voters at least somewhat agree that it’s time to split the country, favoring blue/red states seceding from the union.”

There are other issues. There is the border. There’s education. There is alleged police brutality. There is euthanasia — which is every bit as evil as abortion (as is genetic manipulation and cloning). There are pandemic mandates and the vaccine issue. There is the widening gap between rich and poor (in New York there are about 8,300 people “worth” more than $30 million, and a million “worth” more than $1,000,000). (Watch for an uprising against the rich.)

Every single turn in national events has two opposing — and sometimes alternate — realities. We don’t even live in the same news cycle any longer….

But the single most defining issue remains abortion, and here, like slavery, there is no middle ground: one is either okay with its legality or morally repulsed by it.

A shame this is: that abortion has been so fervently embraced as a human “right,” when it has nothing to do with rights or freedom in any way whatsoever.

So it is that the killing of unborn is the new “slavery,” bringing to mind President Abraham Lincoln, who, signing a declaration on —- in 18 proclaiming a national day and repentance and fasting, used the word “chastisement” (now verboten) in describing the cause of the North-South war.

According to data from two national surveys, two years ago, “15% of self-identifying Republicans and 20% of self-identifying Democrats think the country would be better if members of the opposing party ‘just died.’” How Christian.

“We have grown in numbers, wealth, and power, as no other nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God,” this proclamation said.

Lincoln discussed slavery throughout his second inaugural address, depicting it not only as the cause of the Civil War, but that slavery considered as an offence to God, drew God’s righteous judgement against the entire country.

The same is now true of America and abortion.

And once again, there can be roughly drawn a line between north and south (though in our time are those in both camps in all parts of the nation).

So how would a divide happen? How would secession play out? Will it be more various encampments in all parts of the nation that are on one side or another, with cyber-geography: each of the two sides coalescing over the internet (and God-forbid, social media)?

An interesting question, with as yet no ready answer.

Still lying about Trump

Not content that Trump “lost” the 2020 election, they’re still lying about him.

What elites do on 20th anniversary of 9/11: Attend a ceremony.

What a populist leader, Donald John Trump, did on 20th anniversary of 9/11: Visit the firemen and police officers who risked their lives rescuing people on 9/11.

Definition of populist: “A person, especially a politician, who strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups.”

The Left look to Satanists to save abortion in Texas

If this doesn’t tell you the Left are evil, nothing will.

Last Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, nearly 24 hours after a Texas law that bans nearly all abortions in the state went into effect, the Supreme Court rejected a request to block enforcement of the law, which abortion providers claim will bar at least 85% of abortions in the state and will likely cause many clinics to close, while a challenge to its constitutionality is litigated in the lower courts. The SCOTUS vote was 5-4, with fake-conservative Chief Justice John Roberts joining the court’s three liberal justices (Breyer, Sotomayor and Kagan) in dissent. (SCOTUSblog)

From Breitbart, Sept. 6, 2021:

After The Satanic Temple announced its opposition to the Texas anti-abortion law, leftists have embraced the cult as a potentially helpful ally in the cause to keep abortion legal.

At Salon.com, Brett Bachman argued Satanists “may be the last, best hope to save abortion rights in Texas”….

Other left-wing outlets were as equally gleeful in their support of The Satanic Temple’s fight to keep abortion legal. “Satanic Temple Floats Devilishly Clever Strategy To Dodge Texas Abortion Law,” stated a headline from HuffPost. “Why Satanists may be the last hope to take down Texas’s abortion bill,” echoed Fortune.

In 2020, following the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a woman wrote an op-ed in HuffPost exclaiming that she joined The Satanic Temple, believing that they are the best force in America to keep abortion rights alive….

Sickening!
