Thank you DCG for this cute post. Our Sasha dog is the same way – her hearing and sense of smell are phenomenal.

My Dog,Kita, can hear a UPS or FED-EX Van about 4 blocks away and always goes on full alert. She was a Ranch Dog before the Rescue, and her best friends in the whole world were the delivery drivers, who brought her snacks and treats, and would pet her and scratch her behing the ears (scritching) all the time they were there. They even brought her Christmas presents. Now,whenever one of their drivers goes by,she runs out to the backyard and barks to ’em.
LOL – My German Shepherd would be in another room and if I opened the refrigerator, he’d come by to see what I was getting. He’d sit a few feet away, and I’d usually toss a slice of cheese or lunchmeat at him like a frisbee, and he’d never miss!
My furry 1/2 Rottweiler, 1/2 German Shepherd grandson, will come over, greet me, and immediately head into my kitchen to go where his dog treats are – he’s really picky, but I know through trial & error what his favorites are. Last year, he’d skip the greeting and head straight into the kitchen 😂 He’ll definitely poke his head into the fridge if me or my daughter open it up!
Here he is wanting some of Mom’s corned beef really bad! 🤣
