Dog paralyzed by rare immune disease learns to walk again

Grab a hanky for this one…

This dog, Avellana (I’m not sure of her breed), was abandoned by a hunter when she became paralyzed. Avellana was diagnosed with a rare immune disease that left her completely paralyzed, she could barely lift her head.

The Galgos Del Sol Animal Rescue in Spain treated and rehabilitated her. Watch Avellana make a full recovery!

This is a beautiful story. God bless Avellana, those who rehabilitated her and her new family.

So so good. My wife and I have two rescue dogs and a few cats as well. Watching one change as they get better is like watching God put a hand on them. Thanks for posting this DCG. 🙂

God bless the kind and patient folks at Galgos Del Sol Animal Rescue. It would be useful to know what medical treatment, other than physical therapy, was given Avellana. Some medication for her rare immune disorder?
