Awwwwww…makes me miss my “Henrietta”.

I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but shortly after St Patrick’s Day, I heard animal control came & took her away – which left me a little mad, since who would call animal control on a chicken.

She may have known her time with me was coming to an end, because she finally did lay an egg the day before, and that may have been her way of saying “thanks for feeding me”.

With the weather now getting warm enough so I could hang out on my porch, I was curious to see how long she’d drop by, and see if she’d let me pet her.

How very kind and patient that woman was with the baby bird. It was delightful to watch.

That was so cool! With all the hate and bad behavior in the world today,it’s truly refreshing to see nice people doing nice things. Maybe there are enough good people out there to step up and help defeat the BAD in America, and other Countries. I know God plays a large part in this, but I STILL believe we need to do all WE can do before asking for God’s help. Otherwise, wouldn’t we eventually start getting lazy and asking for God’s help with more minor problems and issues in our lives, like affording gas for the car,or paying the rent,or making my hair grow long again, etc.? My Parents worked hard, and taught me that I have to work hard and make my own way whenever humanly possible, and save asking for God’s help as a last resort when there’s no other way.
But,what do I know-I’m just a dumb Biker….

As my students would text—don’t EVER say U R just a dumb biker. U R primo….I was taught the same. My dad was born in the Depression, first of 12 children, & he had to leave home age 11 to work at a thoroughbred horse farm …sleeping in the barns…responsible for his own school work…& still graduated age 15 with honors from high school….worked his way through Penn State, agricultural economics (which we could use in a HUGE DOSE today for our future survival)…MS from Johns Hopkins…worked for World Bank……MADE me figure out the cost of my breakfast every morning before I left for school AND know the daily interest rate sent up from the Federal Reserve. What he was trying to make me a part of is what we all are—-like you, and me….members of of national and world economy…and able to KNOW what was going on at any moment therein….You are “there’ so, no need to worry.
