Funny. And the Deep State is showing just how paranoid it is, given Feds at the PTA meeting! (Or how owned they are!)

You know, I’ve often wondered where those memorized phone numbers went and what’s taking their place? I have to keep a notebook of my passwords for online accounts these days…and even so, I could be wrong and end up filing for a new password to be sent to my email so I can change them and access the accounts again…and then…b/c they are new to me….I can’t remember them or don’t remember which one I wrote down in what place to remember……it’s a circular firing squad…..Even the phone party lines of days gone by were not so confounding.

Calgirl . . . I am happy to note that I am not the only one who is completely befuddled about the “online password” conundrum. I hate it when I know the password, but whatever business it goes to sends a note requesting that you “change your password” in order to insure online safety. As far as phone numbers goes, I used to be able to dial anyone from memory–but these days, I can only remember my sister and my dearest friend’s number. I guess that is a good thing that we have cell phone’s so we can always have other’s phone numbers at the ready.

So relieved that I’m not senile (yet) b/c my brain is full of passwords and phone numbers, birthdates, payment deadlines, job deadline stuff….They are all written down somewhere b/c I long ago heeded Einstein’s advice to “not memorize anything that you can write down.” Good enough for Einstein, good enough for me..BUT, there are pitfalls… .My husband recently had surgery and when I went ahead of his release to pick up his meds at the pharmacy, I didn’t know his phone number (my cell phone was in the car…with “my people” on it) and I got his birthday mixed up with his mother’s….they are both in OCT., and just days apart…..so they looked at me over the counter like I had a third eye and they should call in the National Guard. I eventually got everything right, but the pharmacists were still skeptical of me when they handed me the bag of pain-killing drugs…..

I loved the one about “Dad” being surprised when other’s opened gifts which were labeled “from Mom & Dad.” That was certainly true in my family.
