Stay away from “Barbie” movie!

And keep your children and grandchildren, especially girls, away from this extremely toxic, misandrist (man-hating) movie.

Don’t be fooled by the cartoonish, candy-pink colors.

San Francisco, failed city part 2

Time and time again we see demorat-run cities that are in utter chaos: Rampant homelessness, public drug use, and increased crime. See examples here, here and here.

Man caught pooping in aisle of a Safeway store in San Francisco.

San Francisco is one of those progressive cities that tops the list of failed cities. Not only are their streets dangerous and covered with feces, tax-paying citizens are held hostage to the criminals.

Shoplifting is all but legal in California so now stores are forced to lock up goods to prevent theft. Enjoy your shopping experience, tax-paying citizens!

From Daily Mail:

“Theft has become so bad in San Francisco that some stores are now padlocking shut their freezers and tying metal chains to ensure the doors remain closed overnight

Video shot by one potential shopper at a local Walgreens in the city sees aisle after aisle of products locked away behind Perspex and glass, out of the reach of thieves.

Even lower value items such as toothpaste and tissues are kept under lock and key, such is the rampant theft that has been occurring in many of the city’s pharmacies and supermarkets.

At one particular location, on 16th Street and Geary Blvd, the freezer doors are entirely chained up, with staff concerned thieves will come into the store overnight to empty the contents.

Shop workers have already reported a problem with thieves coming in to the store as many as 20 times a day to fill their bags full of products including items that need to be kept at cool temperatures such as frozen pizza and ice cream. “

Don’t feel too bad for most of the citizens though. They voted for this. And have voted for this for decades. They never learn:

World Economic Forum agent extols digital currency

A demonic-looking speaker for the World Economic Forum (that foments a global “Great Reset“) extols replacing cash with digital currency as a government tool to lock out the “less desirables,” such as buyers of guns and ammunition.

On March 2, 2022, the Biden administration put its support behind the research and development of a “U.S. Central Bank Digital Currency” (CBDC) by signing a sweeping executive order instructing the federal government to begin research and submit reports on a variety of issues surrounding digital currencies. Does Disney’s failure signal a cultural shift in America?

Very interesting video. Highly recommend!

Along with the Bid Light phenomenon, Disney’s box office crash and drastic decline in theme park attendance are signs that the majority of American people finally have had enough of the Left’s woke agenda and are fighting back with their wallet.

Research shows conservatives are happier than (il)liberals

Anti-Trump protester screams in agony as Trump was sworn in as President (source).

Ross Pomeroy writes for RealClear Science, August 27, 2022:

It may be one of the most surefire findings in all of social psychology, repeatedly replicated over almost five decades of study: American conservatives say they are much happier than American liberals. They also report greater meaning and purpose in their lives, and higher overall life satisfaction…. [T]he entire gap…equates to about a half-point on a four-point scale, a sizable happiness divide.

According to social scientists, here are four reasons why conservatives are happier than (il)liberals:

  1. Marriage: Conservatives are more likely to be married, and marriage tends to make people happier.
  2. Religious belief: Conservatives tend to be more religious, and religious people tend to be happier.
  3. Belief in a meritocracy: Social psychologist Jaime Napier, Program Head of Psychology at NYU-Abu Dhabi has conducted research suggesting that views about inequality play a role. Conservatives are less concerned with equality of outcomes and more with equality of opportunity. While American liberals are depressed by inequalities in society, conservatives are okay with them provided that everyone has roughly the same opportunities to succeed. The latter is a more rosy and empowering view than the deterministic former. Napier told PBS:”One of the biggest correlates with happiness in our surveys was the belief of a meritocracy, which is the belief that anybody who works hard can make it. That was the biggest predictor of happiness. That was also one of the biggest predictors of political ideology. So, the conservatives were much higher on these meritocratic beliefs than liberals were.”
  4. Psychological health: In A Simple Theory of the Self, p. 79, psychiatrist David Mann, M.D., defined psychological health as the capacity “to confront oneself and others with the absolute minimum of subterfuge.” It turns out that by Mann’s and other measures, conservatives are psychologically healthier than (il)liberals:
    1. Two studies explored a more surprising contributor: neuroticism, typically defined as “a tendency toward anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and other negative feelings.” Surveyed conservatives consistently score lower in neuroticism than surveyed liberals.
    2. In 2011, psychologists at the University of Florida and the University of Toronto conducted four studies, aiming to find whether conservatives are more “positively adjusted” than liberals. They found that conservatives “expressed greater personal agency, more positive outlook, more transcendent moral beliefs, and a generalized belief in fairness” compared to liberals. They added: “The portrait of conservatives that emerges is different from the view that conservatives are generally fearful, low in self-esteem, and rationalize away social inequality. Conservatives are more satisfied with their lives, in general… report better mental health and fewer mental and emotional problems (all after controlling for age, sex, income, and education), and view social justice in ways that are consistent with binding moral foundations, such as by emphasizing personal agency and equity. Liberals have become less happy over the last several decades, but this decline is associated with increasingly secular attitudes and actions.”

Pomeroy concludes: “So if you need some cheering up, maybe turn to a conservative friend rather than a liberal one.”

Remember: “No One is Above the Law”

Imagine being a crack addict and lying on your 4473 to illegally obtain a firearm. Then having your girlfriend dump the firearm in a garbage bin by a high school. Oh, and you “forgot” to pay federal income taxes for a couple years.

Do you really truly believe that YOU would receive such a sweetheart deal if you were to face felony tax and firearm violation charges? Yeah, right.

It’s good to be a demorat…

Say a pray for our country.

The Phony Car-Chase Caption Contest

This is our world-famous 270th Caption Contest!

Here’s the pic:

About the pic: The above pic of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and her mom, in a New York yellow taxi was taken on the evening of May 16, 2023. Invoking memories of Princess Diana’s fatal car crash, the couple’s spokesman claimed that the trio were “extremely upset and shaken” by a harrowing, “near-catastrophic” two-hour paparazzi chase in New York City, and that the “relentless pursuit…resulted in multiple near collisions involving other drivers on the road, pedestrians and two NYPD officers.”  Almost immediately, NY’s Democratic mayor and the NYPD debunked the story, followed by similar testimonies by the taxicab driver as well as the paparazzi agency. Here’s an excellent video by a native New Yorker resident explaining why the story is unbelievable:

You know the drill:

  • Enter the contest by submitting your caption as a comment on this thread (scroll down until you see the “LEAVE A REPLY” box).
  • Body and Soul‘s writers will vote for the winner.
  • Any captions proffered by our writers, no matter how brilliant (ha ha), will not be considered. :(

This contest will be closed at the end of Tuesday, June 20, 2023.

‘To get the contest going, here’s my caption:

Meghan Markle: “Do I look like I’m ‘extremely upset and shaken’?  That Harry is such a dope –snookered again by my machinations. He, he, he.”

Priorities for Seattle bureaucrats, a failed city (Part 2)

A typical freeway sighting in Seattle.

Demorat-run Seattle is a failed city. Massive homelessness, crime, tagging and a fentanyl crisis (among other issues).  Yet residents repeatedly elect ineffective demorats, some how expecting a different outcome.

Yet nothing, absolutely nothing will change.

Proof of the insanity of demorats in Seattle, via the latest headlines:

Seattle Police recruitment falls short as response times increase.”

From the MyNorthwest.com article:

“Since 2020, the department has lost 515 officers and hired 190. Many have retired, but others said in exit interviews they did not feel supported by the city during the “defund the police” movement following the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Due to officers being spread thin, police call response times have increased, with the highest priority calls taking an average of 10 minutes to get a response. “

Gun violence rising on Washington State highways.

I know this expands outside of Seattle yet again, demorats are in charge of that state. The demorat governor has passed multiple gun control laws which have had absolutely ZERO impact on crime. And Seattle’s gun crime is on the rise as well. From the article:

“Washington State Patrol (WSP) reports 396 separate incidents of gun fire on highways that state troopers patrol so far this year. Gun violence has increased from 459 shootings in 2018 to 1,058 in 2022.

So what is the Seattle City Council doing to address the crime, drugs, homelessness and the fentanyl crisis? Take a look:

Seattle City Council passes stronger tree protection ordinance.

“The Seattle City Council has passed a new Tree Protection Ordinance. The ordinance aims to preserve and expand Seattle’s urban canopy while allowing for new construction. “After half a decade of work, we have finally passed tree protections that will preserve, protect, and expand our urban tree canopy,”

This legislation takes a One Seattle approach to balance prioritizing tree canopy while also allowing for the development of needed housing – crucial for progress on climate goals, homelessness efforts, and housing affordability.”

Seattle people never learn…
